Parents announce Cook-Valentine engagement

XYOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Cook Jr., 4018 Euclid Blvd., announce the engagement of their daughter, Shannon Colleen Cook, 4417 South Ave., Boardman, and Scott Raymond Valentine, son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip J. Valentine, all of 6359 W. Calla Road, Canfield.
The couple have chosen Oct. 25 as their wedding date. They will exchange marriage vows during an open ceremony planned for 2 p.m. at St. Dominic Church. Invitations will be extended for an evening reception at Our Lady of Mount Carmel hall.
Miss Cook graduated from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green with a bachelor's degree in communication disorders and a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling. She is a vocational evaluator with Forum Health-Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital, Howland.
Mr. Valentine graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in psychology. He is a sales manager at Litehouse in Boardman.
