HOUSTON -- Jeff Bagwell hit his 35th homer and Roy Oswalt won his second straight game since coming off the disabled list, as the Houston Astros beat the St. Louis Cardinals 2-0 Saturday night.
Oswalt (8-5) came off the disabled list Sept. 8 and won his first start at Milwaukee. He was even sharper against the Cardinals, allowing four hits over seven innings to win a pitching duel with Matt Morris.
Octavio Dotel pitched a perfect eighth in his first appearance since straining his left gluteus Sept. 6.
Wagner gets save
Billy Wagner finished the five-hitter for his 42nd save in 45 chances and 20th in a row. He got Albert Pujols to ground into a double play and struck out Scott Rolen on three pitches to end it.
Oswalt didn't allow a hit until Rolen's ground-rule double down the third-base line with two outs in the fourth inning. Edgar Renteria then smashed a grounder to shortstop Adam Everett, who made a diving catch and threw out Renteria for the third out.
Singles by J.D. Drew in the third, Chris Widger in the fifth and Fernando Vina in the sixth were the only other hits off Oswalt, who has been on the disabled list three times this season with groin injuries.
Oswalt threw 94 pitches. He struck out eight and didn't walk a batter.
Morris (10-7) entered with a career-high 20-inning scoreless streak and extended it to 23 before Bagwell homered in the fourth for his second in two games.

Mets 5, Expos 4
MONTREAL -- Steve Trachsel tied a career high with his 15th win and Daniel Garcia homered and had three RBIs as New York ended a season-high eight-game losing streak.
Montreal, which had won 10 straight at Olympic Stadium, ended a three-game winning streak overall.
Garcia, called up from Triple-A Norfolk on Sept. 2, hit a run-scoring grounder off Javier Vazquez (12-11) in the seventh, beating out a possible double play at first to put the Mets ahead.
He hit his second homer in three games following Roger Cedeno's leadoff double in the first.
Trachsel (15-9), who had 15 wins with the Chicago Cubs in 1998, moved ahead of Al Leiter for the team lead in victories in his second attempt at matching his career high.
