MAC Unbeaten B.G. routs Liberty, 62-3
Akron knocked off Eastern Michigan in a conference game.

BOWLING GREEN -- Josh Harris was a tidy 8-of-10 passing for 128 yards with a touchdown and also ran for two scores Saturday night as Bowling Green routed Liberty 62-3.
P.J. Pope ran for 162 yards and a touchdown and Raishaun Stover added 94 yards and TDs rushing and receiving for the Falcons (3-0), who gained 367 yards on the ground to 57 for the Flames (0-3).
Falcons backup quarterback Omar Jacobs was 10-of-15 for 180 yards with three passing touchdowns and one rushing.
Dre Barnes led Liberty with 34 yards on 11 carries, while five other ball carriers were held to 23 yards on 23 attempts.
Gus Condon was 6-of-16 for 106 yards for Liberty, which scored its only points on Scott Kivosky's 27-yard field goal in the second quarter.
Akron 24, E. Michigan 17
AKRON -- Charlie Frye passed for one touchdown and ran for another, and Matt Cherry returned a punt 58 yards for a score.
Frye completed 22-of-33 passes for 303 yards with one interception for the Zips (1-2, 1-1 MAC), who also got 115 yards rushing from Bobby Hendry on 26 attempts.
Akron scored first on the Cherry's punt return in the first quarter.
Frye passed to Miquel Irvin for 53 yards as the first quarter ended, setting up a 16-yard touchdown pass to Irvin less than a minute into the second.
Anthony Sherrell scored on a 13-yard run for the Eagles (1-2, 0-1) before Frye capped a 66-yard drive with a 2-yard run.
Andrew Wellock's 43-yard field goal cut Akron's advantage at halftime to 21-10.
In the third quarter, Eastern Michigan quarterback Chinedu Okoro capped a 13-play, 96-yard drive with a 1-yard run. Okoro was 25-for-47 for 225 yards.
Akron's Jason Swiger made a 23-yard field goal with 5:14 left in the fourth quarter. Eastern Michigan had two possessions after that but got no closer than Akron's 47.
Virginia 59, W. Michigan 16
KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Marques Hagans didn't try to make anyone at Virginia forget Matt Schaub.
Hagans, normally a wide receiver, threw three touchdown passes for Virginia (2-1). Tailback Wali Lundy ran for two scores and threw for a third.
Hagans was 12-of-20 passing for 162 yards and was not intercepted. He also rushed for 68 yards on nine carries.
Schaub separated his right shoulder in his team's season-opening win against Duke.
Cent. Michigan 42, E. Kentucky 41
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Jeff Perry passed for three touchdowns and ran for a 2-yard TD with 17 seconds remaining.
The Chippewas (2-1) trailed 24-7 at halftime but outscored the Colonels (1-2) in the second half by a 35-17 margin.
UCF 33, Florida Atlantic 29
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Central Florida's Ryan Schneider passed for three touchdowns and a school-record 497 yards.
UCF (1-1) trailed 21-20 early in the fourth quarter after a 2-yard scoring run by Florida Atlantic's Aaron Sanchez. But Schneider's 1-yard touchdown pass to Darcy Johnson with 8:39 remaining put the Knights ahead for good.
Schneider completed 37 passes, another school record, in 52 attempts, and his third career 400-yard game tied him with Daunte Culpepper for the school record. He was intercepted twice.
Colgate 38, Buffalo 15
AMHERST, N.Y. -- Jamaal Branch ran for 170 yards and two touchdowns in Buffalo's 13th straight loss.
Colgate's Chris Brown completed 19 of 29 and threw for 263 yards. Brown connected on a pair of touchdown strikes for 10 yards to J.B Gerald and 35 yards to Luke Graham, while running for another score on a 12-yard draw play.
It was disappointing home opener for the Bulls (0-3), who hold the longest losing streak in college football.
The Raiders (2-0) had 621 total yards of offense. Colgate held a 31-point lead until the Bulls notched Steven King's TD with 1:47 to play.
