Southern Illinois improved its record to 3-0 by beating Murray State.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- BenJarvus Green-Ellis ran for a career-high 107 yards and two touchdowns, and Chris Taylor added 90 yards and a TD as Indiana overpowered Indiana State 33-3 on Saturday night.
The Hoosiers (1-2) snapped an eight-game losing streak that dated to Oct. 12, 2002, by pounding the ball on the ground -- something they'd struggled to do in their first two games.
Green-Ellis and Taylor each carried 20 times, while filling for injured starter Brian Lewis, and Indiana finished with 201 yards rushing.
The Sycamores were led by Jake Shields, who carried 15 times for 58 yards, and Jake Schiff, who completed 16 of 22 passes for 179 yards before being pulled late.

BATON ROUGE, La. -- Matt Mauck set career highs with 305 yards passing and four touchdowns for No. 12 LSU.
Mauck also had a career-high 23 completions in 33 attempts to help the Tigers to their first 3-0 start since 1998.
Western Illinois (2-1) ranked No. 1 in I-AA, played tough against the Tigers until the second half. The Leathernecks held LSU to 13 points in the first half. The Tigers fumbled twice in the red zone, missed an extra point and a field goal and botched a punt.
Oklahoma St. 42, SW Missouri St. 3
STILLWATER, Okla. -- Tatum Bell ran for 143 yards and a career-high four touchdowns.
Seymore Shaw added 107 yards on 10 rushes including a 53-yard TD late in the fourth quarter as the Cowboys (2-1) won their fourth straight non-conference game.
Cody Pratt rushed for 79 yards on 22 carries to lead the Bears (1-1), who fell to 1-18 against Division 1-A opponents since 1982.
S. Illinois 32, Murray St. 7
CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Muhammad Abdulqaadir rushed for 126 yards and Tom Koutsos ran for two touchdowns.
Southern Illinois (3-0) took a 16-0 lead in the first half on an 8-yard TD run by Koustsos, a 16-yard score by Brandon Robinson and a safety caused by Chris Sutherlin.
Matt Weishaar added a 2-yard TD run and a Craig Coffin had a 27-yard field goal for Southern Illinois.
The Racers (1-2) scored their only touchdown of the game with 1:49 left in the half when quarterback Stewart Childress hit Deandre Green for a 4-yard touchdown.
Koutsos became Southern Illinois' all-time leading scorer. He ran for 44 yards on 10 carries, including a 10-yard TD run in the third quarter. The two touchdowns moved him pass kicker Scott Everhart as the Salukis all-time scoring leader with 240 points.
