Volleyball team wins
VESTAL, N.Y. -- Colleen Royer posted a double-double with 19 kills and 13 digs to lead Youngstown State past Canisius 30-19, 30-28, 25-30, 30-25 in the Binghamton Tournament Friday.
Senior Annie Buschur pounded 14 kills with a .333 hitting percentage and recorded six blocks for YSU (5-4). She had three service aces.
Freshman Carl Leslie added 10 kills and 11 digs for the Penguins.
Soccer teamfalls to Louisville
YOUNGSTOWN -- Louisville's Jamie Craft scored two goals to lead the Cardinals past the Youngstown State soccer team 5-1 Friday.
Sophomore Jessica Yarter scored her fourth goal of the season to help YSU (1-4) get on the board.
The Cardinals (2-1-1) outshot the Penguins 23-5 and outcornered YSU 10-0.

Poland graduateis Orlando golf pro
POLAND -- Kristofer M. Sirak, a 1997 graduate of Poland High School, received his occupational associate degree in Golf Complex Operations and Management from the Golf Academy of the Youth.
Sirak works as a golf professional and manager at Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Fla.
He is the son of Jim and the late Cheryl Kraynik.
Youngstown Christianfalls in volleyball
YOUNGSTOWN -- Rachel Coristin had two spikes as the Youngstown Christian High volleyball team was beaten by Tri-State Christian 15-4, 15-6 Friday. The Eagles dropped to 1-2.

Tressel stalkerjailed on charges
COLUMBUS -- A woman accused of calling Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel's office claiming to be his wife has been charged with menacing by stalking, telephone harassment and trespassing.
University police said Fotoya Hudson, 32, of Columbus, made a half-dozen phone calls trying to reach Tressel and showed up at his office and a campus hotel where Tressel and the team stay Friday nights before home games.
Browns moves
BEREA -- The Cleveland Browns waived offensive lineman Qasim Mitchell from their practice squad Friday and signed defensive back David Young.
The Browns had hoped the 355-pound Mitchell would develop into a productive run blocker and at one point was thought to be a candidate to start at guard.
Mitchell, 23, attended North Carolina A & amp;T and was signed as an rookie free agent in April 2002, but missed the season with a bruised lung.
Cleveland signed Young to take Mitchell's place on the practice squad. Young, who attended Georgia Southern, was selected by Jacksonville in the sixth-round of this year's draft but was cut Monday.
Steelers' Bettis remains questionable
PITTSBURGH -- Running back Jerome Bettis practiced Friday despite a groin injury that limited his playing time in the Pittsburgh Steelers' season opener.
Bettis, now the backup to starter Amos Zereoue, remains questionable for Sunday's game at Kansas City.
Bettis was pulled from Sunday's 34-15 victory over Baltimore with a sore right groin after gaining 14 yards on four carries.
Aeros capture title
AKRON -- The Aeros hit five home runs, including Tyler Minges' three-run homer, as Akron beat the New Haven Ravens 11-4 Friday night to become Eastern League champions with a three-game sweep.
The Aeros had 17-hits to New Haven's five.
Mount coachreaches milestone
ALLIANCE -- Mount Union College men's tennis coach Jeff Wojtowicz registered his 100th career win Friday when the team beat Hiram, 5-2.
Wojtowicz's record at the helm of the men stands at 100-68.
