Pat Vidis of Austintown aced the 131-yard 15th hole at Deer Creek Golf Course, using a 5-wood. The shot was witnessed by Sue Gura, Diane Reha, Donna Ruble and Elaine Allred. Vidis is a member of the "Birdie Bunch."
Michael Spiech, a 1978 graduate of Hubbard High School, aced the 165-yard 9th hole at the Raymond C. Firestone public course in Akron, using a 7-iron. It was his third career ace.
Rick Noday of Austintown aced the 120-yard 16th hole at Pine Lakes, using a 9-iron. The shot was witnessed by Tom Dick, Pete Mamonis and Dan Cverko.
Bob Sahli of Boardman scored a hole-in-one during the M & amp;M Golf Classic at Mill Creek South Course. He aced the No. 5 hole, 124 yards, with an 8-iron. Witnessing the shot were Denny Straub, Tom Wagner and Steve Wagner.
Al Kunder of Youngstown aced the No. 8 hole at Tannenhauf Golf Club in Alliance. He used a 5-iron on the 167-yard hole. Witnesses were Bob Keiper, John Kolar and Ray Koneval.
Lou Blazquez of Youngstown scored a hole-in-one on the No. 14 hole at Candywood Golf Course in Vienna. He used a 6-iron on the 186-yard hole. It was witnessed by Clash Cervello and Kurt Parratto.
Margie Frankford of Austintown aced the No. 8 hole at Dogwood Golf Course in Lake Milton. She used a 5-wood on the 185-yard hole and the shot was witnessed by Rich Fetgenko.
Frank Posterli of Liberty aced the 127-yard No. 17 hole at Olde Dutch Mill Golf Course at Lake Milton. He used a 6-iron. Witnesses were Les Mewborne, Dick Harvey and Randy Braham.
Jeff Dasity of Mineral Ridge aced the 117-yard second hole at Hyde-a-Way. He used a wedge. Witnesses were Joe Janis of Austintown and Michael Buchanan of Berlin Center.
