YOUNGSTOWN Ohio's top court suspends law license of Liberty man
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Ohio Supreme Court has suspended the law license of J. Walter Dragelevich for an interim period as it investigates whether to permanently disbar the former Trumbull County prosecutor.
Dragelevich, of Liberty, was sentenced in June by a federal judge to two years' probation after pleading guilty to a federal charge of odometer tampering.
Attorneys convicted of felonies are automatically suspended and face being disbarred, so Dragelevich's suspension is standard procedure, said Jon W. Marshall, secretary to the Supreme Court's board of commissioners on grievances and discipline. The interim suspension was approved Friday in a court order.
Admission
Dragelevich admitted that he paid someone $75 in 2001 to change the mileage registered by the odometer on a leased 1999 Oldsmobile Bravado because the mileage was over the allotted amount.
