XALLIANCE -- Valerie Michele Campbell, 616 E. Milton St., and Jason Alan Whitacre, 1161 Woodlawn Ave., Girard, exchanged marriage vows before the Rev. Eli Spencer during a ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 9 at DeWaid Chapel at Mount Union College.
The couple received guests during a reception at DiVieste Banquet Hall, Warren, then left for a honeymoon in Chicago. They live in Mayfield Heights.
Their parents are Addison and Reta Campbell of the Milton Street address and Mickey and Diane Whitacre of the Woodlawn Avenue address.
A beaded corset bodice detailed the bride's gown styled with an organza skirt and full-length train.
Mrs. Whitacre earned a bachelor's degree in sociology at Mount Union College.
Mr. Whitacre graduated from Mount Union with a bachelor's degree in political science and a juris doctorate from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Cleveland.
Honor attendants were Myra Francis and Heather Brubaker. Bridesmaids were Marcie Whitacre, the groom's sister; Rachel Long, the bride's cousin; and Casey Glockner, Debra Craddock, Kristen O'Bryan and Martha Powers. They wore lavender dresses. Flower girl was Haley Castellano, his cousin.
Best men were David Stoughton and Fred Whitacre, the groom's cousin. Groomsmen were Michael Neuman and Donald Whitacre, his cousins, and Brian Hall, Tom Crowe, Ian Bowden and Joshua Strickland. Kaleb LePage, her cousin, was ring bearer.
