SYMPHONY Golf outing rescheduled for Sept. 29
The event will feature lunch, dinner and prizes.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown Symphony Guild will sponsor its eighth annual "Come Play Fore" golf outing Sept. 29 at Youngstown Country Club, Liberty Township. The event was rescheduled because of weather and grounds conditions.
Registration will begin at 11 a.m. followed by a buffet lunch. A shotgun start is planned for 12:30 p.m. with two best balls as the format. Dinner will be at 6:15 followed by awards and a raffle. Their will be musical entertainment.
Entry fee is $150 for range, lockers, cart, golf, lunch, cocktails, dinner, awards and contests. Soft spikes are required. Teams are encouraged.
A variety of prizes will be awarded including a Chautauqua celebration two-night stay and a weekend gate pass for Chautauqua Institution, eight Austrian crystal goblets and golf bag and tickets to the N.E.C. golf tournament. A Ford Thunderbird will be awarded for a hole in one.
Corporate underwriter is McDonald Investments of Keybank.
Making plans
Richard Keyes and Trent Cailor are co-chairmen. Mary Walton is guild president and Susan Huber, president-elect. Committee members are Stephanie Hunter, Irene Loser, Deborah Liptak, Mary Kay Zockle, Millie Campean, Juanita Williams, Diane Newman, Phyllis Wilke, Jeanne Simeone, Susan Darris, Gwen Majernik and Vicky Pallota.
Proceeds will benefit the Youngstown Symphony and its educational outreach programs.
