Pilarcik jubilee is marked at Mass and at two parties
XVIENNA -- A Mass Sept. 6 at St. Vincent de Paul Church was celebrated in honor of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Paul E. Pilarcik, 4434 Mary Ellen Ave.
The couple also were guests of honor during two dinner parties at Cafe 422, Niles. Their children hosted an event in August and friends held another Sept. 6.
Their children and their spouses are Peter and Kathy Pilarcik of Bristol, Conn.; David and Megan Pilarcik of Yucaipa, Calif.; James and Debbie Pilarcik of Hudson; Lorri and Ken Latiolais of Spokane, Wash.; and Jeffrey Pilarcik of Morristown, N.J.
The former Frances Kozel and Mr. Pilarcik were married Sept. 5, 1953, at St. John Roman Catholic Church in Perryopolis, Pa.
Mrs. Pilarcik was the principal of religious education at St. Vincent de Paul Church and retired in 1998. She is a member of the Women's Guild, Trivia Pursuit Club and has belonged to many school and community organizations.
Retiring in 1996, Mr. Pilarcik was a supervisor at A & amp;P Tea Co., Youngstown. He plays in a golf league and served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. and Mrs. Pilarcik are members of St. Vincent de Paul Church, where she is a Eucharistic minister and sacristan, and he is an usher.
The family circle includes nine grandchildren.
