MEAGAN POPMARK PATTERSON
XMANTEO, N.C. -- The wedding of Meagan Laine Pop and Mark Alan Patterson took place at 10 a.m. Aug. 2 in the Elizabethan Gardens at Roanoke Island. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. William Pop Jr., Prospect, Ky., former local residents, and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Patterson of Kansas City, Mo.
The Rev. Donald Bible and Ann Bell officiated, and a reception followed at 108 Budleigh. The couple honeymooned in the Cayman Islands and live in Lexington, Ky.
The bride wore a strapless gown of silk organza over white satin trimmed with Swarovski crystals and bugle beads.
Cassie Wence was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Beth Stinson, Lyn Bajaj and Erin May. They wore lilac over pink gowns. Flower girl was Kaitlyn Evans.
Best man was Mark Handley, and groomsmen were Craig Lowry, Jamie Hagan and Aaron and Trae Pop. Cameron Bajaj was ring bearer.
Also participating were Alex, Jamey and Jason Evans, Ashley Hall and Linda Reichle.
Mrs. Patterson graduated from Bellarmine University with a bachelor's degree in biology and is pursuing a law degree at the University of Kentucky.
Her husband attended the University of Kansas and holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Louisville. He is an Internet technologies consultant at Quilogy in Louisville and is a Microsoft-certified solution developer.
