Junior women to host benefit event

MINERAL RIDGE -- The Austintown Junior Women's League will sponsor a wine and cheese taste and Chinese auction Oct. 18 at Theodore's Banquet Center, 1400 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Doors for the gala evening will open at 6:15 p.m., and festivities will continue until 11:30. A highlight of the event will be a special wine presentation by BV Winery between 7 and 8 p.m.
This will be a non-smoking event with proceeds earmarked for the benefit of the organization's scholarship fund.
Music will be provided throughout the evening, a 50/50 raffle will take place, and a variety of specialty items will be auctioned. Among the gifts to be auctioned will be art works, baskets of foods and wines and a wine tasting party for 50 people to be held in a private home.
The cost for the evening is $25 per person or $45 a couple. Tickets will be available at the door or can be reserved in advance by calling Denise Ritchie, (330) 793-9860.
Arrangements for the event are being handled by Debbie Pringle, Denise Ritchie, Tracy Styka and Sandy Hintz.
