DUBLIN, N.H. -- Yankee magazine has a new keepsake publication out on newsstands, just for this time of year, called Seasons.
The magazine features richly colored, full-page photographs of forests of red and gold-leaved trees and scenic waterways from around New England, from the top of Mount Katahdin to the cranberry harvest on Nantucket.
In addition to essays on the region, it includes identification guides for leaves, birds, animal footprints and seasonal produce, as well as listings for vineyards, festivals, foliage vistas, hikes, parks, restaurants and inns.
Available in the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and Midwestern states, the magazine sells for $6.99.
Fall foliage boat cruises
The Moraine Preservation Fund will offer fall foliage boat cruises of Pennsylvania's Lake Arthur beginning Sept. 27 and 28. The cruises will continue each Saturday and Sunday in October. Device solves problemfor hearing impaired
Hyatt Regency Denver downtown is one of the first hotels in the nation to provide new technology for those with mild to severe to profound hearing loss. This along with a hearing aid allows guests to hear clearly and communicate easily on the telephone. The Denver hotel is the first to install the device, about one-eighth the size of the head of a pushpin, in its standard telephones in 150 of its guest rooms.
