HELOISE Old driver's license can still be used for ID

Dear Heloise: A recent column included the hint concerning carrying ID when out walking. I use an old driver's license. It is sturdy enough to punch a hole through and wear it on a chain or one of those spiral-bracelet key rings. You can add additional info with an indelible pen -- phone number, medical info, whether you are an organ donor, even your dog's name, etc. The authorities and even local hospitals can obtain vital info from the data on a license; even the photo might be useful. Dear Heloise: I save old toothbrushes and use them in many places around the house.
I keep one in the shower as a nailbrush; the bristles are softer and gentler on my cuticles, plus the softer bristles get around the nail better than a standard nailbrush.
A toothbrush is also good to clean the soap scum out of disposable razors, thereby extending their use.
I use old toothbrushes to clean around the faucets and spigots on the bathroom sink and tub and the kitchen sink.
I keep one in the laundry room to work stain-fighter into clothing. Louisa Fordyce, Latrobe, Pa.
Dear Heloise: I have a Sound Off. I am a tall lady who is over 6 foot. I want to let retailers know that there are many of us out there and that they should carry tall clothes. I often find that retailers don't carry tall pants, and they make us go to their Web sites and order clothes for full price -- even when they are on sale at the stores -- plus we have to pay shipping fees. Why should we have to pay more for pants just because we are blessed with height? I am very frustrated about this issue and do not enjoy shopping for clothes anymore. Blessed With Height, Palmdale, Calif.
