GRETCHEN REDMONDRICHARD SPRAGUE
XCORTLAND --The wedding of Gretchen Dae Redmond, 3936 Ravenwood Drive, Warren, and Richard Michael Sprague, 1901 James St., Niles, took place at 6 p.m. Aug. 8 at Maffitts Meadows where a reception was held immediately afterward.
The Rev. Cynthia Klingemier presided at the ceremony for the daughter of Leonard Redmond Sr., of the Warren address, and the late Judith Redmond, and the son of George Sprague and Kathy Sprague, both of Niles.
The couple honeymooned at Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica, and live in Howland.
The bride wore a strapless organza sheath gown trimmed with rum-pink beading.
Merlot-colored gowns were worn by her cousin and honor attendant Elle Eutsey, and the flower girl, Savannah Rogers, the groom's cousin. Wearing champagne gowns were the bridesmaids, Jill Redmond, the bride's sister-in-law; Melissa Rakich; Valerie Setzer; and Jamie Sprague, the groom's sister-in-law. Also participating was Kary Cottrell.
Best man was James Sprague, the groom's brother, and groomsmen were Ronnie Scherich; Lenny Redmond, the bride's brother; and George Sprague, the groom's brother. Ring bearer was his cousin, Aaron Rogers, and usher was Kasey Eutsey, the bride's cousin.
The bride and groom earned bachelor's degrees in education from Youngstown State University. She teaches English with Southington Schools, and he is a history teacher with Niles City Schools.
