Gillis anniversary marked on family cruise to Bermuda

XFAIRFIELD GLADE, TENN. -- The 50th wedding anniversary of Dr. and Mrs. Bernard T. Gillis, 42 Hurstwood Court, formerly of Boardman, was celebrated during an Aug. 20-27 cruise to Bermuda.
Joining the couple for the trip were their children and their spouses and their seven grandchildren.
Participating were Gregory and Patty Gillis of Mineral Ridge; Gwendolyn and Jerry Budnik of Phoenix, Ariz.; Kathryn and Bob Kinderman of Pittsburgh; and Theresa Gillis and Alan King of Wilmington, Del.
The former Arlene Hamilton and Dr. Gillis were united in marriage Aug. 22, 1953, in Iowa City, Iowa.
Dr. Gillis retired in 1991 as a provost with Youngstown State University.
