Fall TV Planner for Teens
The networks are offering more shows aimed at you -- the younger viewing audiences. Here are some of the new and returning shows that networks are hoping you'll check out this season:
SUNDAY
"The Simpsons": This show just keeps rolling along, finding new fans each year. Season 15 starts Nov. 9 at 8 p.m.; however, the first new show, the annual
"Treehouse of Horror," runs Nov. 2 on Fox.
"Malcolm in the Middle": The show returns for its fourth season with a conclusion to last season's cliff-hanger, the sex is Malcolm's new sibling. Show
premieres Nov. 2 at 9 p.m. on Fox.
"Charmed": The witch sisters enter their sixth season Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. on the WB.
"Tarzan": A contemporary twist on the legend of Tarzan turns the tale into an urban adventure, as Tarzan is taken from the jungle and returned to his family's estate in New York City. Starts Oct. 5 at 9 p.m. on the WB.
MONDAY
"Skin": A Romeo and Juliet tale of young love between two feuding families: one in the porn-industry, the other a district attorney. Debuts Oct. 20 at 9 p.m.
on Fox.
"7th Heaven": The Camden family returns for a ninth season on the WB. Starts Monday at 8 p.m.
"Everwood": The show kickoffs off Monday at 9 p.m. on the WB. This drama will tackle some tough subjects in its second season, such as breast implants, anti-depressants and the discovery of a teen sex club.
TUESDAY
"American Juniors": From the people who brought you "American Idol," a new season starts Oct. 28 at 8 p.m. on Fox. Best singers and
dancers among kids age 6-13 compete to see who will make the cut.
"Gilmore Girls": Lorelai and her teenage daughter, Rory, return for their fourth season on the WB. New season starts Sept. 23 at 8 p.m.
"One Tree Hill": Two young men from Tree Hill, N.C., have little in common except the fact that they share the same father and both love the same girl. Debuts on the WB on Sept. 23 at 9 p.m.
WEDNESDAY
"That '70s Show": A show about an eclectic group of friends who are typical teens on the verge of young adulthood -- only it's the era of disco and 8-track
tapes -- the '70s. With all the Ashton Kutcher news over the summer, the ratings should be high for the sixth season of this Fox show. Season premiere is Oct. 29 at 8 p.m.
"Jake 2.0": Jake Foley is geeky National Security Agency technician who acquires superpowers, including & quot;superhuman strength, lightning-fast speed, super hearing and vision and -- oh the yeah -- the telepathic abilities to communicate with computers & quot;. Airs on UPN at 9 p.m.
"Smallville": The Superman story moves from Tuesday to Wednesday for the third season. This season also sees the introduction of Superman alumni Perry
White. Season premiere is Oct. 1 at 8 p.m.
"Angel": The fifth season for the sensitive blood-sucker, who this year is joined by former "Buffy" co-star James Marsters as Spike, and rumors that Buffy
herself may make a guest-appearance. Premieres on the WB on Oct. 1 at 9 p.m.
THURSDAY
"Tru Calling": This show is a combo of the movie "Groundhog Day" and the TV show "Early Edition." Each week Tru Davies, who works at the city morgue,
restarts each day, and then tries to prevent upcoming deaths. Debuts Oct. 30 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
"The O.C.": Series about a a troubled teen from the wrong side of the tracks who comes to live in Orange County. This show started in August and will return to
Fox's schedule Oct. 30 at 9 p.m.
FRIDAY
"Joan of Arcadia": God talks to teenager Joan Girardi and that's not something she knows how to handle. Premieres Sept. 26.
"Miss Match": Alicia Silverstone stars as a divorce attorney who has a knack for matchmaking. Debuts Sept. 26 on NBC at 8 p.m.
"Boston Public": The series that explores the personal and professional lives of teachers and administrators working at a midsize high school in Boston starts
its fourth season. Season premiere is Friday at 9 p.m. on Fox.
SATURDAY
"Wonderful World of Disney": The Wonderful World of Disney begins its seventh season on ABC on a new day and time, every Saturday at 8 p.m. The Sept. 27 premiere will show "Remember the Titans."
