Colapietro 60th is celebrated at family dinner
XGIRARD -- Mr. and Mrs. August Colapietro of Girard were honored Sept. 13 during a family dinner held at Vernon's Cafe in Niles in observance of their sixtieth wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the event were the couple's daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Chuck Hennon of Strongsville, and their daughter-in-law, Evelyn Colapietro of Austintown. Five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter complete their immediate family. The couple's two sons, Robert and James Colapietro, are deceased.
The former Dolores Humble and Mr. Colapietro were united in marriage Sept. 13, 1943, in St. Louis while he was serving in the 95th Infantry Division of the U.S. Army.
Mrs. Colapietro was a teller for East Ohio Gas Co. in Niles and afterward served as a library aide for Girard City School District. She is a member of Girard United Methodist Church where she sings in the choir.
Mr. Colapietro was employed for 40 years as a machinist at U.S. Steel Co. in McDonald. He is a member of St. Rose Church.
