BRENDA CAMPBELLROBERT POPA
XCANFIELD -- Old North Church was the setting at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 23 for the wedding of Brenda L. Campbell and Robert C. Popa. The bride is a daughter of Alice Smith of Youngstown and the late Arvel Smith. Mr. Popa is a son of Catherine Popa of Masury and the late Charles Popa.
The Rev. Dr. Brent Allen presided for the ceremony, and a reception was held at the Lockwood House in Boardman. The couple spent their honeymoon in Siesta Key, Fla., and are living in Youngstown.
The bride wore a rum pink gown designed with an off-the-shoulder neckline and accented with pearls and cream lace She wore a pearl tiara and carried a bouquet of roses, hydrangeas and stephanotis.
Her sister, Barbara Knabe of Streetsboro, was matron of honor. She wore a periwinkle gown. Flower girl was the groom's granddaughter, Keirsten Lawrence of Hermitage, Pa. She wore a white and periwinkle gown.
Mark Knabe of Streetsboro, the bride's brother-in-law, performed the duties of best man, and her nephew, Jacob Miller of Poland, was ring bearer.
Mrs. Popa is a community outreach specialist in the marketing department at Forum Health in Youngstown.
Her husband served in the U.S. Army and is a morning talk show host with WPIC and operations manager of Sharon Radio Center for Cumulus Broadcasting in Sharon, Pa.
