TRANSIT SYSTEM Trumbull County
The Niles-Trumbull Transit System will begin operations Monday. Here's how it works:
All trips must be reserved no later than 10 a.m. the day before the trip and no later than noon on Friday for a Saturday, Sunday or Monday trip.
Passengers from participating communities are eligible for discounted fares with proper ID. For travel within those communities, riders will pay $3 per one-way trip, or $1.50 per one-way trip for those 55 and older, for children ages 2-12 or for those with disabilities. For travel to other areas of Trumbull County, the fares increase to $6 for one-way trips for the general public, or $3 for seniors, children and the disabled.
Fares for those living in a nonparticipating community are $6 for one-way trips to a participating community for the general public, or $3 for seniors, children or the disabled. For travel to all other areas of the county, the fares will be $12 per one-way trip for the general public, and $6 for seniors, children and the disabled.
Any cancellations must be done at least two hours before the scheduled ride, or a "no-show fee" equal to the scheduled rate for that trip will be applied to the next trip.
The driver will collect fares when riders board. Cash is acceptable, but it must be exact change. Ride vouchers are available in increments of $1.50 through Community Bus Services.
To schedule a ride, call NTTS at (330) 369-2600 and provide your name and community you live in, address where you will be picked up, address of your destination, time you wish to arrive, time you wish to be picked up and address you wish to return to.
