No reinstatement
Cleveland television station WJW reported Monday night that Ohio State could turn in a report to the NCAA on its investigation of running back Maurice Clarett as early as today. The WJW report said Ohio State will not ask for Clarett to be reinstated to the team, for at least this season. The findings reportedly claim that Clarett received thousands of dollars in benefits, a direct violation of NCAA rules. Ohio State athletic director Andy Geiger has said that Clarett misled investigators, another NCAA violation. Geiger would not confirm the report when contacted by at least one reporter.
