SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Landon Donovan scored the game-winning goal in the 52nd minute. In the 41st minute, Pat Noon gave New England (6-9-8) a 1-0 lead when he shot between San Jose defender Eddie Robinson and goalkeeper Pat Onstad to score from 15 yards. Dwayne DeRosario, who had an assist on Donovan's game-winner, tied the game for San Jose (12-4-7) less than two minutes later, taking a cross from Brian Mullan and beating Revolution goalkeeper Adin Brown from point-blank range. New England played the last 71/2 minutes with 10 men after defender Rusty Pierce was given his second yellow card and a red card for a clash with San Jose's Mullan.
