In a story Sunday, it was incorrectly reported that Atty. Richard Olivito lost a police abuse case in Steubenville. Olivito had filed the false-arrest case in federal court in the Southern District of Ohio there and the judge granted the defendants summary judgment. Olivito appealed to the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, and the ruling was reversed and sent back to district court. Officials in Jefferson County and the city of Steubenville then settled the case. The county settled for $23,500, and the city settled for $25,000, Olivito said.
