Cancer fund-raisers
CANFIELD -- Thirteen American Cancer Society events this summer in 12 communities in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties raised $1.5 million.
Relays for Life were in Austintown, Boardman, Campbell, Cortland, East Liverpool, Liberty, Lisbon, Lordstown, Niles, Sebring and Warren, and at Youngstown State University.
The funds are used for cancer research, services to patients and families, advocacy and education, ACS officials said.
Easter Seals meeting
YOUNGSTOWN -- Easter Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties will have its annual meeting Monday at 12:30 p.m. at 299 Edwards St.
