Create a fabulous handbag for wedding day

WASHINGTON POST
Since most wedding stuff is used once (gown, veil, bouquet, that ugly platter from Uncle Bert), why not make your "something new" a fabulous handbag that can be used long past the "I do's"?
Nothing says blahh like frills and lace and dyed-to-match. Instead, try something fun and fabulous. Something worth capturing on film. Something big enough for lipstick and the key to the honeymoon suite. Something that complements a (white/ivory/beige) wedding dress and a (red/orange/pink) tee and jeans. Something different.
"I think it's adorable to use a brightly colored bag as a wedding bag," said Holly Dunlap, founder of the Hollywould collection (www.ilovehollywould.com). "Since it's not walking down the aisle with the bride, she can go as wild as she wants."
How about a purse that shows off your new initials? Every time you pull that bag from the closet, it's a romantic reminder of the day your parents spent a boat load of money ... and you became a well-accessorized wife.
