XMcDONALD -- Elizabeth A. Wetzl, a daughter of the Rev. Joseph and Lillian Wetzl, 206 Pennsylvania Ave., and Joshua S. Hamm, a son of the Rev. William Jr. and Sarah Hamm, 1501 Stockton Road, Joppa, Md., were united in marriage at 11 a.m. Aug. 2 at the First Baptist Church.
The bride's father officiated at the ceremony, and afterward the couple accepted congratulations during a reception at the K. of C. Hall. They honeymooned in Pennsylvania and live in Edgewood, Md.
The bride wore a white satin gown designed with short sleeves, a sweetheart neckline, sheer yoke accented with schiffli lace, and a basque waistline. The full organza shirt flowed into a church-length train.
Gowned in lilac were the bride's sister and honor attendant, Joanna Wetzl, and the bridesmaids, Charity Roberts, Miriam Cronce, Priscilla Bowser, and DeeAnn Hamm, the groom's sister-in-law. His niece, Morgan Hamm, served as flower girl.
The groom's father performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Keith Garten, his uncle; Jason Hamm, his brother; Samuel Wetzl, the bride's brother; Eddie Lilly; and Junior Moye. Ring bearer was the groom's nephew, Taylor Hamm.
The bride, a high-school teacher at Bethel Baptist Academy in Joppa, graduated from Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point Ind., with a bachelor's degree in secondary education.
The groom attended Hyles-Anderson and is an order filler with Pier 1 Imports in Aberdeen, Md.
