Celebration set for the Hamptons on anniversary
XWARREN -- Howland United Methodist Church will be the setting at 3 p.m. Sept. 20 for a dessert open house planned in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hampton, 1551 Arthur Drive N.W., who will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Arrangements for the event have been made by their children, Jackie Mills of Howland and Douglas Hampton of Cortland. Also participating will be their five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The former Donna Kellogg and Mr. Hampton were united in marriage Sept. 19, 1953, at Second Christian Church, where they are members.
Mrs. Hampton retired in 1991 from food service with Warren City Schools.
Mr. Hampton was employed in the payroll department at Delphi Packard Electric Systems until he retired in 1984.
