Eric Rumple, 5, of Cortland, isn't quite sure what to make of a foul ball caught by a nearby fan and presented to the Trumbull County youth during the Mahoning Valley Scrappers' season-ending home game. His aunt, Kathy Britton of Warren, enjoyed watching Eric's reaction as much as Wednesday's game. The Scrappers had planned to conclude the season at Cafaro Field with a doubleheader, but fireworks set off during the break between games caused smoke to hover over the field and forced officials to cancel the second game. The Scrappers (38-36) lost the first game 7-3. More on C1.
