Economic development agency to honor Forum Health, HMHP



BOARDMAN -- Forum Health and Humility of Mary Health Partners will be honored by the Mahoning Valley Economic Development Corp. for enhancing health care in the Valley.
They will receive awards at MVEDC's annual "Salute to Business, Industry and Labor" banquet Oct. 15 at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman. A reception will be at 6:30 p.m., with a dinner and program at 7:30 p.m.
Forum has more than 5,300 employees and nearly 800 physicians. It operates Northside Medical Center, Trumbull Memorial Hospital, Tod Children's Hospital, Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital, Austintown Medical Park, Beeghly Medical Park and Elm Road Medical Park. It has started a $100 million upgrade of its campuses.
Humility of Mary has more than 5,000 employees and 800 physicians. It operates St. Elizabeth Health Center, St. Elizabeth Boardman Campus, St. Joseph Health Center, Humility of Mary Home Health Services, Hospice of the Valley, Assumption Village and Humility House.
It is spending $18.8 million to expand St. Joseph's and $10 million to renovate the Heart & amp; Vascular Center at St. Elizabeth's. It also has upgraded its facilities in Boardman. For tickets, call MVEDC at (330) 759-3668.
