ICE HOCKEY
Ice Zone in Boardman -- is where the Mooney/Ursuline High School Hockey Club will hold registration for interested players in grades 6-12 on Sept. 9 from 6:30-8 p.m. Registration is open to all students from any school. For more information, call (330) 759-6520. The team competes in the Northeast Ohio High School Hockey League and plays club teams from the Youngstown, Erie and Pittsburgh areas. Mooney-Ursuline also has a junior high team.
RUN/WALK
New Middletown Municipal Building -- is where the Springfield Township Bicentennial 5K race and one-mile walk will be held Sept. 13. Race begin at Springfield Elementary School at 6 p.m. Advance registration costs $10, is due Saturday and should be sent to Springfield Township Bicentennial Committee, Box 48, New Middletown Ohio 44442. On-site registration will cost $12.
