Cups for a cause benefit arts education network

KNIGHT RIDDER NEWSPAPERS
Companies have developed charity promotions around fashion products such as pink ribbon pins, lipsticks and T-shirts for causes including breast cancer, domestic violence, women's heart disease and the arts.
The efforts are now spilling over into housewares. Gevalia, the European coffee company, commissioned three fashion houses -- Dana Buchman, Ellen Tracy and Lily Pulitzer -- to create a coffee cup and saucer set in Rosenthal china.
Part of proceeds goes to arts education at Kennedy Center Alliance for Arts Education Network.
Buchman's design is a black-and-white animal print. Pulitzer opted for a tropical jungle design. And Ellen Tracy, perhaps inspired by designer Linda Allard's New Jersey garden, used a spare blossom pattern.
