Police recover items stolen from vendors

CANFIELD -- Following a tip, Canfield Fair police, with assistance from police in Girard and Hubbard Township, recovered all of the large-ticket items stolen from fair vendors last week and arrested one of those they believe is responsible.
A majority of the things taken from the fair were recovered from a shed behind a home at 627 Joan Avenue, Girard, said Capt. Frank Bigowsky, investigations unit supervisor with the Girard police.
Police found one hot tub, three mosquito magnets, a large stainless steel gas grill and the chimnea in the shed.
The owner of the home, Bigowsky said, knew nothing about the theft.
Arrested was Jason Graham, 24, who was living there with the homeowner's daughter, Bigowsky said.
Graham, formerly of Warren, is charged with receiving stolen property.
As of Monday morning, all other items reported stolen -- a second hot tub, mosquito magnet and two more gas grills -- were also recovered, according to Lt. Terry Alexander of the Canfield Fair police.
The investigation is ongoing and another warrant is expected to be issued, Alexander said.
