Lakeview surges behind Province
His three TDs and rushing attack helped the Bulldogs turn back Campbell.
CORTLAND -- Josh Province scored three touchdowns and rushed for 122 yards on 11 carries as Lakeview rallied from a 13-7 deficit with three straight scores to overcome Campbell 28-13.
Province scored the first TD of the game on a 59-yard jaunt and added his other two scores in the last quarter to finish the Red Devils (1-1).
After Province's first TD and Jim McHale's extra point -- the first of four placements -- gave Lakeview a 7-0 lead, Campbell rebounded.
Derrell Johnson scored on a 3-yard TD dash, George Malactaris hit the placement and Brandon Rogers ran 2 yards to a score, as the Red Devils took the 13-7 command in the second quarter.
But Matt Nero scored from the 1-yard line later in the second period, and McHale added the placement to put the Bulldogs (2-0) ahead for good 14-13 at the half.
Then Province ran in from the 24 and 6 and McHale added two more kicks for the final score.
Nero added 35 yards rushing in 13 tries, while Kevin Albert was 2-for-3 passing for 42 yards to aid Lakeview.
Campbell was led by Johnson with 62 yards rushing in 14 carries, while Ricky Quinn tacked on 22 yards in seven carries and was 3-for-7 passing for 21 yards.

HUBBARD -- Shaun Lane, playing in only the first half, scored Hubbard's first two touchdowns on runs of 12 and 4 yards, and he finished with 104 yards in 12 carries, as the Eagles rolled past Cleveland East for a 2-0 record.
The game was delayed by lightning and didn't start until about 9:15 p.m.
Cleveland East was no match for Hubbard, being held to just 64 total yards, all on the ground.
Bryan Boyce also sparked the Eagles with two TD passes to Todd Coonce (5 yards) and Jacoby Morris (18), both tallies following Lane's scores to give Hubbard a 34-0 lead.
Boyce wound up with 104 yards in the air on 6-for-9.
Chris Buccilli aided Hubbard with a 2-yard TD run and four extra points.
Lisbon 34, LaBrae 14
LISBON -- Jay Yorty threw a pair of touchdown passes and went 9-for-14 for 155 yards, and Frank Gallo scored two TDs, as Lisbon cruised to a win over LaBrae for a 2-0 record.
LaBrae (0-2) moved the ball well and scored the first and last touchdowns of the game, but Lisbon sandwiched five scores in between and exhibited a bend-but-not-break defense.
Yorty connected to Chris Friend (26 yards) and R.J. Wills (18), while Gallo tallied on runs from the 45 and 1, and compiled 68 yards rushing in seven carries. Jacob Wycoff kicked four extra points.
Todd Rowan led LaBrae by firing a 62-yard scoring strike to Jimmy Kittle for the first score of the game and finished with 8-for-19 through the air for 126 yards. Bryon Szorady added 112 yards rushing in 21 carries.
