HUBBARD -- Hubbard Public Library will offer a free viewing for adults of independent and foreign films beginning at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 17. The first film is "El Bola," which won more than 30 international awards.
"El Bola" is the nickname of a 12-year-old boy raised in a violent environment. Embarrassed by his family life, he retreats from his classmates, engaging them only through a dangerous game. A new boy arrives at school, and El Bola discovers a family where communication and love prevail.
The film series will be shown at 6:30 p.m. the third Wednesday of every month. Attendees must be at least 18 years old. Registration is required. Call the library at (330) 534-3512, Ext. 110.
