CITY Fletcher helps lift Liberty past Wilson



Rayen beat Ravenna 20-7.
LIBERTY -- Bradley Fletcher carried 15 times for 143 yards and four touchdowns as the Liberty High football team rolled past visiting Wilson 56-0 Friday.
Fletcher, who verbally committed to Iowa, scored the Leopards' first four touchdowns as Liberty (1-1) took a 49-0 lead after three quarters.
Andrew Amodio added three carries for 52 yards and a touchdown and Anthony Fortner and David Oliveira added touchdowns.
The Leopards out-gained Wilson 336-73 on the ground and held the Redmen (0-2) to just 82 yards overall.
Rayen 20, Ravenna 7
RAVENNA -- Ravenna scored in the first quarter, but the Tigers (1-1) closed the game on a 20-0 run.
Andreous Gilliam caught a 4-yard scoring pass as the Tigers pulled to 7-6 at the half.
Faucette ran for an 8-yard score and fired a 10-yard scoring pass in the second half for the Tigers.
Rayen had more rushing yards (122-44) and Ravenna fumbled 13 times, losing seven.
Chaney 22, Uniontown Lake 15
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Cowboys bounced back after last week's loss to Austintown Fitch and defeated the Blue Streaks at Stambaugh Stadium.
Because lightning delayed the start of the game for two hours, no further results were available at press time.
Field 40, Canton Timken 0
MOGADORE -- David Miller scored four touchdowns and kicked three extra points, and was backed by a strong defensive effort, as Field rolled past Canton Timken to even its record at 1-1.
Miller, a junior running back, scored his TDs on a 25-yard pass interception, 15-yard dash and a pair of 1-yard plunges. He led the attack with 81 yards rushing in 10 attempts.
Field held Timken (0-2) to only 36 total yards -- 17 passing and nine rushing.
Carl Cole added 22 yards rushing in seven carries for Field, while Anthony Fontes went 3-for-4 passing for 27 yards.
