ART AUCTIONS
XAn art auction will be held Saturday at McDonough Museum, 410 Wick Ave., as a benefit for the Ursuline Sisters HIV/AIDS ministry and children's program. A 6:30 p.m. preview will be followed by the 7:30 auction. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be provided. The donation of $20 is tax deductible. ART/CRAFT SHOWS
XAngels for Animals is seeking artists who are interested in participating in its second annual Holiday Art Show & amp; Sale. All artwork must be original; no kits or mass produced items will be accepted. The art show is set for Nov. 8 and 9 at Angels for Animals, 4750 State Route 165, Canfield. DINNER DANCES
XSt. Lucy Church, 394 Tenney Ave., Campbell, will sponsor a dinner dance Sept. 20 at the parish center. FESTIVALS
XMexican Society of Youngstown will sponsor a fiesta Sept. 27 at St. Rose of Lima Church social hall, 50 Struthers-Coitsville Road, Coitsville. There will be music for dancing, Mexican foods and beverages. Tickets are $12 in advance and may be bought at Casa Ramirez Restaurant, 1578 Mahoning Ave. Tickets will be $15 at the door. FUND-RAISERS
XAmerican Heart Association will sponsor its 14th annual free Edible Art Collection from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Butler Institute of American Art on Wick Avenue, Youngstown. Featured will be exhibits of heart-healthy foods prepared by area chefs and a special exhibit of children's recipes. Participating will be Abruzzi's Cafe 422, Alberini's, Austinwoods, Chapter Cafe, Imperial Catering, PJ Snappers, Station Square, Timberlanes, Winner Institute of Arts and Science, and Winslow's Cafe. XWarren Harley Owner's Group and Warren Harley Davidson will sponsor their annual Harley Night in the Park from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday at Courthouse Square Park in Warren. The event will include a bike show, rodeo games, pie-eating contest, awards, food and music. Entry fee for the bike show is $5. Proceeds will benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Services Agency.
