SCOPE Howland Senior Center, 9273 High St. N.E., Warren, activities are as follows: the center will be closed Monday in observance Labor Day; the Red Hatters have the choice of attending a 1 p.m. pot luck luncheon and a get-acquainted meeting on either Wednesday or Thursday; a Great Smoky Mountain foliage and Biltmore Mansion estate tour is planned for Oct. 6-10 and includes Dollywood, Louise Mandrell show, a winery, the jubilee show, shopping and a matinee theatre show, several meals and hotel accommodations. State St., has planned the following: Monday, closed for Labor Day; Tuesday, square dancing at 9:30 a.m., lunch available for $3 at 11:30, computer class, bridge and 500 tournament at 1 p.m., blood pressure at 2 and pinochle at 2:30; Wednesday, pokeno at 9:30 a.m., tai chi class at 10 with $4 fee, reservations requested for celebration lunch at 11:30, bingo at 1 p.m. and cards at 2:30; Thursday, line dancing at 9:30 a.m., lunch available for $3 at 11:30 and pinochle and bridge at 1 p.m.; and Friday, gourmet group at 9 a.m., harmonica class at 11 and mixed chorus and lunch at 1 p.m. Cost is $1. The cost for the Niagara gambling trip scheduled for Sept. 22-23 is $85 ($30 rebates) with a $20 deposit required to reserve a seat and final payment due Sept. 10. For details contact the center.
