BOARDMAN (0-1)vs. CLEVELAND ST. IGNATIUS (1-0)
Game time: 7 p.m. at Parma Byers Field.Last meeting: Boardman won 29-23 last year.Notebook: Boardman's nine-game opening week win streak was snapped in a 21-7 loss to Uniontown Lake last week. (Warren Harding now has the area's longest streak with 10 games.) Senior running back Brad Beck ran for 138 yards in the loss and will have to carry the load until the inexperienced Spartans develop. Also watch defensive end/tight end Mike Massey and running back Joe Palko, who had 72 yards rushing and 91 receiving last week. Boardman's defense must have an outstanding game for this one to stay close. If you go: Take I-80 west to I-480 west to the Ridge Road exit (No. 15). Turn left on Ridge Road and right on Day Road.
