MERCER, Pa. -- Judge Francis Fornelli of Mercer County Common Pleas Court sentenced two people Tuesday. Alvin White, Jr., 42, of Greenville, will spend the next 31/2 to seven years in prison for robbery. White robbed the Dairy Mart convenience store on Main Street in West Middlesex on Oct. 25, 2001. Nicole Simmons, 32, of North Versailles, Pa., was sentenced to five years' probation for misdemeanor retail theft. Court records show that on Sept. 20, 2002, she stole $421 worth of miscellaneous items, including sheets, flatware, a video and a can opener from the J.C. Penney store at the Shenango Valley Mall in Hermitage.
