BOARDMAN
Oct. 20
Theft: A woman in the 100 block of Maple Drive reported a piece of spouting stolen from her front yard.
Theft: A $100 mountain bike was taken from a front yard in the 7100 block of Glendale Avenue.
Theft: A Louisville, Ohio, man reported a $50 fire hydrant adapter stolen in the 4000 block of South Avenue.
Criminal damage: A woman in the 100 block of Nevada Avenue reported that someone set a trash can at the end of her driveway on fire, causing $100 in damage to a driveway entrance fence.
Vandalism: Someone used a key to cause about $5,000 in paint damage to a vehicle parked in the 800 block of Trotwood Drive.
Arrest: A 22-year-old Youngstown man surrendered to police and was charged with theft after a complaint was filed at Gabriel Bros., 850 Boardman-Poland Road.
Arrest: Police arrested a 39-year-old New Castle, Pa., woman in the 800 block of McKay Court on charges of menacing by stalking and criminal trespass after an employee at a doctor's office said he warned her several times to stay away from his office.
Recovered property: Police recovered a 1991 Chevrolet Cavalier, stolen in the 5000 block of Market Street, in the Calvary Assembly of God church parking lot, 7580 Glenwood Ave.
Arrest: An 11-year-old Boardman boy was arrested in the 500 block of Boardman-Canfield Road and charged with being an unruly juvenile after his father reported the boy failed to return to his Melbourne Avenue residence after school.
Theft: An employee at Petland, 7338 Market St., alleged two women stole a $1,500 dog.
Theft: Someone left a BP gas station, 1090 Boardman-Poland Road, without paying for $19 worth of gasoline.
Bad check: An employee at Paper Chase Wallcoverings, 5228 Market St., reported a man gave her a check written on a closed account.
Theft: Someone stole three cartons of cigarettes from Smoker Friendly, 4605 Market St.
Theft: An employee at A & amp;T Mart, 5721 Market St., alleged a former worker, 31, removed $45,000 from the business.
Theft: A Poland man discovered a dealer license plate missing from his vehicle parked at Cinemark Movies 8, 469 Boardman-Poland Road.
Arrest: A 19-year-old Youngstown woman was arrested in the 100 block of Market Street and charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
Theft: Police arrested a 22-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge after a $60 pair of hiking boots was stolen from Gabriel Bros.
Arrest: A 30-year-old Clarksville, Pa., man was arrested in the 7300 block of South Avenue on a charge of disorderly conduct.
Arrest: Police charged a 43-year-old Youngstown man with misuse of a credit card after an employee at Kay Jewelers in the Southern Park Mall reported someone bought $3,116 worth of jewelry using someone else's credit card.

Criminal damage: Someone tossed eggs at a car in the 6000 block of Applecrest Court, causing about $150 in damage.
Assault: A Poland woman alleged another woman, 40, assaulted her on a running track at Boardman Center Middle School, 7410 Market St.
Attempted truck theft: An employee at The Donnell Auto Group, 7955 Market St., discovered a 2003 Ford F-150 Supercab truck missing from a sales lot.
Theft: Police arrested two Youngstown girls, ages 17 and 13, on theft charges after miscellaneous undergarments and socks were stolen from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Criminal damage: A man, 37, reportedly damaged a carport garage door in the 6000 block of Applecrest Court.
Assault: A Poland woman reported her son was assaulted at a doctor's office in the 6500 block of Market Street.
Theft: A woman reported an AM-FM compact-disc stereo and various car cleaning supplies stolen from her vehicle in the 6100 block of Mill Creek Boulevard.
Identity theft: A woman in the 60 block of Shields Road reported that someone used her information to make four purchases over the Internet and fraudulently used her automatic teller machine card.
Theft: A man reported $50 was removed from his son's pocket while the boy was at Ice Zone, 360 McClurg Road.
Theft: Someone took a $429 pipe cutter from T.R. Equipment Rentals, 4627 Market St.
Identity theft: A Poland woman reported between 12 and 20 personal checks lost or stolen while she was at Giant Eagle, and that they were cashed for a total of $672 at both Giant Eagle locations, 1201 Doral Drive and 476 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: Police arrested three New Castle girls, two age 15 and one age 17, on theft charges after $376 worth of miscellaneous clothing was stolen from Kaufmann's in the Southern Park Mall. All three also were charged with underage possession of cigarettes.
Theft: A Youngstown woman, 21, was charged with theft after a $90 vacuum cleaner was stolen from Value City Department Store, 1130 Boardman-Poland Road.
Oct. 22
Auto theft: A man reported that someone borrowed his 1993 Buick Century and failed to return it.
Truck theft: A 1992 Chevrolet S-10 truck was stolen from a BP gas station, 1090 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A 44-year-old Boardman man was arrested at the Shooting Gallery, 8070 Southern Blvd., and charged with felony theft after a Hubbard man reported giving the business a $13,000 machine gun for resale, and that false information was provided regarding mailing the payment.
Theft: An undetermined number of personal checks were removed from a doctor's office in the 6200 block of Market Street.
Recovered property: A 1991 Chevrolet Beretta was recovered after a New Springfield woman alleged a friend used the vehicle without permission.
Theft: A 42-year-old Struthers man was charged with theft after an $85 stereo was taken from Wal-Mart.
Vehicle thefts: A 2001 FRMT Century semi-tractor was stolen from B-Right Trucking Co., 492 McClurg Road. Also, a 2000 trailer was reported stolen.
Arrests: Two boys, 17, and a man, 18, all from Warren, were arrested at Gabriel Bros. All three were charged with theft, and two also faced charges of resisting arrest.
Recovered property: Police recovered a 1991 Cadillac Sedan DeVille, stolen in Youngstown, in the Best Buy parking lot, 561 Boardman-Poland Road.
Attempted auto theft: Someone tried to steal a 1988 Volkswagen Quantum in the 1000 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: An Ohio license plate was removed from a vehicle in the 7900 block of Southern Boulevard.
Arrest: A 47-year-old Youngstown man was arrested at Wal-Mart on charges of deception to obtain a dangerous drug and carrying a concealed weapon.
Arrest: A Youngstown girl, 15, was arrested at Wal-Mart on a theft charge.
Theft: Police arrested a 33-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge after a $30 black jacket was stolen from Wal-Mart.

Theft: Police arrested a 34-year-old Youngstown man on Avondale Avenue and charged him with theft after two cartons of cigarettes were stolen from a Rich gas station, 5823 South Ave.
Breaking and entering: Someone pried open an auto cashier at Splash & amp; Shine Auto Bath, 869 E. Midlothian Blvd., and removed an undetermined amount of money.
Theft: A 46-year-old Youngstown man was arrested at a construction site in the 6100 block of Market Street and charged with theft after a man alleged catching two men taking 10 pieces of scrap iron from his trash bin and loading them into a pickup truck.
Theft: A man reported a five-DVD set stolen from a cart in the 7400 block of South Avenue.
Forgery: A Youngstown woman reported that someone fraudulently used her checking account to pay for a $145 online service.
Theft: Someone left a BP gas station, 1090 Boardman-Poland Road, without paying for $24 worth of gasoline.
Criminal damage: Someone broke a car's driver's-side door handle while the vehicle was at the Southern Park Mall.
Forgery: A Girard man reported that a $456 fraudulent check, with his signature forged, was cashed at National City Bank, 7401 Market St.
Theft: Police charged a 19-year-old New Castle woman with theft after a sweater, a pair of pants and two shirts were stolen from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall.
Forgery: A North Lima woman reported losing 27 checks, and that someone is using them in a fraudulent manner.
Arrest: A 17-year-old girl was arrested at her Melbourne Avenue residence and charged with being an unruly juvenile.
Robbery: A Youngstown man, 21, was arrested on charges of robbery and endangering children, and a Youngstown woman, 22, was charged with complicity to theft after a robbery at Wal-Mart. About $178 worth of miscellaneous candy and clothing was taken.
Theft: Police arrested a 20-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge after $198 worth of men's clothing was removed from the Burlington Coat Factory, 461 Boardman-Canfield Road.
Arrest: A Youngstown man, 44, was arrested near Montrose and Afton avenues on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Oct. 24
Theft: A Columbiana man, 49, surrendered to police and was charged with theft after four to five packs of cigarettes were stolen from Wal-Mart.
Robbery: Police arrested a 42-year-old Youngstown woman on a robbery charge after an employee at Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive, reported being assaulted while trying to detain a suspected shoplifter. Five packs of cigarettes were taken.
Theft, criminal damage: A man discovered his vehicle's driver's-side rear window broken, and an AM-FM CD stereo missing, while the car was at the Southern Park Mall.
Attempted auto theft: Someone tried to steal a 1991 Cadillac Sedan DeVille in the 500 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.
Theft: A man in his late 20s reportedly stole eight two-piece jump suits, worth a total of $440, from Sears in the Southern Park Mall.
Arrest: A 33-year-old Poland man was arrested on U.S. Route 224 and charged with public indecency after a woman reported a situation at the Southern Park Mall.
Theft: Police arrested a 48-year-old Salem man on a theft charge after a $34 wallet was taken from the J.C. Penney store.
Theft: A Lowellville woman reported a CD case, six paycheck stubs and various receipts stolen from her vehicle while she was at Pat Catan's Craft Center, 6151 South Ave.
Robbery: Police arrested a 22-year-old Youngstown man at the Southern Park Mall on charges of robbery and resisting arrest. Two security employees alleged the man assaulted them as they placed him into custody after a $60 shirt was stolen from Kaufmann's. Police alleged the suspect forcefully pulled away after they attempted to arrest him.
Oct. 25
Criminal damage: Someone spray-painted a vehicle's driver's-side door and handle, causing about $500 in damage, while the car was parked at Cinemark Movies 8. Also, a man reported $250 in similar damage to his vehicle parked in the same area.
Arrests: Police arrested three men at Buffalo Wild Wings in the Southern Park Mall on various charges. A Poland man, 22, was charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct; a Boardman man, 27, faced charges of disorderly conduct while intoxicated, criminal trespass and failure to desist; and a Boardman man, 21, was charged with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct while intoxicated and resisting arrest.
Arrest: After investigating a report of a suspicious person near Windsor Road and Prestwick Drive, police charged a 32-year-old Austintown man with possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers found two hypodermic needles, a spoon and another item possibly used as drug paraphernalia.
Theft: A New Springfield girl, 16, was charged with theft and receiving stolen property after three shirts, a tank top and a sweater were stolen from Abercrombie & amp; Fitch in the Southern Park Mall.
Arrest: A 31-year-old South Schenley Avenue woman was arrested at her residence on a warrant charging her with felony theft. She also was wanted on one count of failure to appear in court to face a theft charge.
Theft: A man reported that someone took 40 tablets from his apartment in the 7300 block of West Boulevard.
Attempted theft: Two men in their 20s reportedly tried to steal a $70 climbing harness from O.R.E., 5316 Market St.
Criminal damage: Someone placed dents in a vehicle and used a key to damage its passenger-side front and rear doors' paint, causing $800 in damage, while the car was parked at Hometown Buffet, 387 Boardman-Poland Road.
Arrest: A 26-year-old Struthers man was arrested on Mellinger Road and charged with two counts of receiving stolen property, possession of criminal tools, possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest. Police recovered a 1989 Toyota Camry near Arden Boulevard after it was stolen in Struthers.
Theft: A man, 30, reportedly stole an undetermined amount of merchandise from Target, 417 Boardman-Poland Road.
POLAND
Oct. 21
Drugs: After conducting a traffic stop near Diana Drive and U.S. Route 224, police arrested a Pennsylvania man, 23, on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under a suspended license. Police found three metal pieces with suspected marijuana residue inside the car.
Oct. 22
Theft: An in-dash CD player was removed from a vehicle in the 10 block of Ravine Place.
Oct. 23
Arrest: After stopping his vehicle on Interstate 680, police cited a 33-year-old Youngstown man on charges of obstructing official business, driving under a suspended license, drug abuse and having an open container of alcohol. Officers say he provided false information about his identity, and they alleged finding an open 16-ounce beer can in a cup holder, as well as two suspected marijuana cigarettes inside an ashtray.
Oct. 26
Stolen property: A man in the 500 block of North Main Street reported 100 feet of welding hose, a set of welding gauges and a set of welding tips missing from a tool shed.
