DENVER -- Former Colorado player Chris Drury scored with 2:29 remaining and Martin Biron stopped 32 shots for Buffalo. The Sabres have won three straight to climb over .500 (5-4) for the first time this season. Ales Kotalik scored first for Buffalo, which also got an empty-net goal from Jean-Pierre Dumont with 58 seconds remaining. Alex Tanguay scored for Colorado.
Blackhawks 1, Mighty Ducks 1
ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Joffrey Lupul scored on a power play with 7:10 remaining in the third period and Martin Gerber made 25 saves to help Anaheim tie Chicago. Michael Leighton made 31 saves for the Blackhawks, who had only four shots in the second period against Anaheim. Ducks defenseman Todd Simpson accidentally knocked the puck into his own net at 7:08 of the second period. Kyle Calder was credited with the goal.
Canucks 3, Coyotes 3
VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Krystofer Kolanos scored on a wraparound with 1:14 remaining in the third period, lifting Phoenix into a tie with Vancouver. Markus Naslund put the Canucks up 3-2 on a partial breakaway 8:51 into the third period. But Kolanos took a pass from Branko Radivojevic behind the net and tucked the puck past Dan Cloutier before he could cover his right post. Trevor Linden and Ed Jovanovski also scored, and Cloutier stopped 18 shots as the Canucks failed to win for the first time in five home games. Shane Doan had a goal and an assist, and Radoslav Suchy also scored for the Coyotes, who picked up a road point for the second straight night after a 4-4 tie in San Jose on Saturday.
