FAMILY VIOLENCE Reported

The Tri-County Family Violence Prevention Coalition is trying to increase awareness about family violence, particularly intimate partner, child and elder abuse. Incidents of abuse reported in 1999 through 2001 in the Tri-County area are:
Columbiana (population, 111,678): Intimate partner, 2,777; child, 1,833; elder, 769.
Mahoning (population, 254,958): Intimate partner, 9,565; child, 3,239; elder, 864.
Trumbull (population, 223,982): Intimate partner, 4,715; child, 218; elder, 910.
