ARTS SHOWS
XAngels for Animals will hold its second annual holiday art show and sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 9 at the shelter, 4750 state Route 165, Canfield. Admission is free. There will be a preview party from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 8; tickets are $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers. The event will include hors d'oeuvres and music. BAZAARS/CRAFT SHOWS
XAltrusa Club of the Warren Area's annual Holiday Fantasy Craft Show will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday in Packard Music Hall, Warren. There will be 75 artists and craftsmen, lunches, fresh baked goods and candy. Door prizes will be given each hour.
XBoardman Glenwood Middle School PTA will sponsor the 35th annual Glenwood Peddler Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the school, 7635 Glenwood Ave., Boardman. Admission is free, and donations will be accepted at the door. Refreshments will be available, and there will be a Chinese auction as well as a blood drive.
XChrist Our King Church will hold a craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the social hall, 1000 Tod Ave. S.W., Warren. There will be a bake sale, turkey raffle, Chinese auction and refreshments.
XThe annual fall craft show sponsored by the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center youth clubs will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the career and technical center, 9364 state Route 45, Lisbon. XEast Fairfield United Methodist Church, 45675 Route 558, New Waterford, will hold its annual bazaar and craft show from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 4. A soup and sandwich luncheon also will be available between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
XFirst Presbyterian Church of Mineral Ridge will hold its annual bazaar from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church, 3654 state Route 46, Mineral Ridge. Booths will include attic treasures, baked goods, books, crafts and plants. Children will be able to decorate a cookie. There also will be a lunch counter offering homemade chicken noodle and beef vegetable soups, which also may be bought by the quart; and sauerkraut and pork, hot dogs, baked beans, pizza, potato salad, sloppy joes and pies.
XGreenville Area Leisure Services Association will hold its fourth annual Holiday Craft Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 8 at Greenville Recreation Center, 45 Alan Ave., Greenville, Pa. For information call (724) 588-4810.
XThe annual bazaar of the Jameson Hospital Junior Guild will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 6. There will be handcrafted items and used books and videos in the hospital cafeteria area, and the hospital lobby will feature a Chinese auction, bake sale, homemade candy, hostess shop and a quilt raffle. The hospital is located on Wilmington Road in New Castle.
XKinsman Presbyterian Church, 6383 Church St., will sponsor a bazaar and turkey dinner Saturday. A trash and treasure booth will open at 11 a.m., and other booths including Ye Olde Emporium, country kitchen, candyland and senior citizens will open at 1. Coffee and doughnuts will be available. The full-course turkey dinner starts at 1:30 p.m., and tickets go on sale at 12:30. The cost is $7 for adults, $3.50 for children 4 to 11 and free for those 3 and younger.
XNew Bedford Presbyterian Church, corner of Woodland Drive and Marr Road, New Bedford, Pa., will hold a bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. There will be Christmas, craft, candy and plant rooms and a trash and treasure sale. Apple butter will be sold. Soup and sandwiches and homemade pies will be available.
XOld Holy Trinity Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church will hold a craft show and trash and treasure sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the center, 420 N. Raccoon Road. Admission is $1, children under 12 are free. Hot dogs, pizza, sloppy joes and desserts will be sold.
BINGO/CARD PARTIES
XInfant Jesus of Prague Guild of St. Lucy Church, 394 Tenney Ave., Campbell, will sponsor a luncheon card and bingo party Sunday at the parish center. Doors open at noon for the luncheon, and games begin at 1:30 p.m. There will be door prizes. The cost is $5.
XSt. Jude Church, 180 Seventh St., Columbiana, will hold a super bingo at 2 p.m. Sunday. Doors open at 12:30 for early birds and lunch. The cost is $25 and includes, pop, coffee and daubers and a chance to win $3,400. There will be a $1,000 coverall.
XSt. Mary Women's Guild will sponsor a card and bingo party from 2 to 5 p.m. Nov. 9 at the church hall, 3504 Main St., Mineral Ridge. Doors will open at 1:30. FESTIVALS
XFirst Covenant Church, 5210 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, will hold a Lucia breakfast and festival Dec. 6. Seatings for breakfast will be at 8, 9, 10 and 11 a.m. Cost is $5, and tickets are available only by mail. FUND-RAISERS
XMoose Riders 122 will hold a No Show Bike Show and adult dance from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Nov. 8 at the lodge home, 127 E. 3rd St., East Liverpool, Ohio 43920. To enter, send a photo of your motorcycle to the show committee at the above address. All photos will be displayed at the event, and patrons will vote for their favorites with one penny per vote. There is a five dollar entry fee for each bike. All proceeds will be donated to the Salvation Army for its "Day of Thanks, Day of Giving" project. Donations of canned goods and nonperishable food items will be collected at the door.
XSt. Joseph Church, 4545 New Road, Austintown, will hold its third annual social and benefit in honor of the late Sr. Jacquelyn Herpy, who served as principal of St. Joseph School from 1983-88. The adults-only event will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. Nov. 8 in the church social hall. There will be hors d'oeuvres, an open bar and music as well as a 50-50 drawing, door prizes and a Chinese auction. Cost is $25 per ticket, and attire is casual. NIGHT AT THE RACES
