WARREN -- Investigators with the Ohio State Highway Patrol are searching for a Brookfield man for questioning in the death of a man found in the Shenango Wildlife area of Vernon Township.
OSHP officials say Craig R. Kroner of Warner Road, Brookfield, is a "person of interest" in the murder investigation of Charles Palm.
Palm, 26, of Greenville, Pa., was found dead Oct. 10. He was shot three times, according to the patrol.
Kroner, 22, is 240 pounds, 5 feet 10 inches tall, white, with brown hair and blue eyes. He is believed to be driving a white 1993 Chevrolet van, with the Ohio license plate EK54WS.
The vehicle resembles a delivery truck and has no markings on the sides, according to an OSHP press release.
Anyone with information regarding Kroner is asked to call the patrol's Warren post.
Search of houses
Investigators searched Kroner's home and another house on Milligan East Road in Vernon Township on Tuesday. It is not known what was found because the warrant has been sealed, officials said.
While investigators look for Kroner, another man, Bruce Coxson, 46, remains in the Trumbull County jail in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
Coxson has pleaded innocent in Eastern District Court to a charge of tampering with evidence. OSHP officials say they are also questioning him in Palm's death.
The patrol investigates criminal activity on state-owned or leased property.
