NHL ROUNDUP Wednesday's other games
Panthers 2, Devils 1
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Jay Bouwmeester and Olli Jokinen scored 42 seconds apart late in the third period, and Roberto Luongo made 32 saves for Florida. The Panthers snapped a five-game winless streak (0-3-2) and posted their first victory since beating Carolina on opening night.
Maple Leafs 3, Stars 1
DALLAS -- Joe Nieuwendyk's tie-breaking, power-play goal with 6:58 remaining and Ed Belfour's 15 saves led Toronto. Nieuwendyk's deflection of Mats Sundin's shot got past Dallas goalie Marty Turco to break a 1-all tie and lift the Maple Leafs past the Stars.
Canucks 3, Blues 2
VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Rookie Jason King scored on a two-man power play with 12.7 seconds remaining. It was the first meeting between the teams since the Canucks overcame a 3-1 series deficit to knock St. Louis out in the first round of last season's playoffs.
Mighty Ducks 4, Flyers 3, OT
ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Rob Niedermayer scored 1:10 into overtime after Philadelphia tied it with a second remaining in regulation. Sergei Fedorov, Petr Sykora and Vaclav Prospal also scored for Anaheim. Playoff MVP Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 33 saves for his first victory this season. Tony Amonte forced overtime by scoring with 0.6 seconds remaining in the third period.
