Two candidates are vying to be mayor of New Castle. The current two-term Mayor Timothy Fulkerson is not seeking re-election.

Family: Wife, Kim Clavelli; two sons and a daughter
Priority: To address the fiscal deficits the city faces. Before any basic services are cut, Alexander said he would cut administrative and department heads.

Employment: Administrator of Silver Oaks Nursing Center in New Castle since 1994. Past jobs held were with Challenges, Options on Aging, Ellwood City Hospital and Hill View Manor

Priority: Maintaining city services with the emphasis on public safety and bringing downtown revitalization to completion.
