Give puddles the boot

WASHINGTON POST
Brightly colored outdoor puddle jumpers may help us tolerate gray skies, torrential downpours and squirmy worms. Tamara Henriques, Wellie-maker extraordinaire, first stumbled onto the galosh genre when she realized kids had all the fun rubber boots. "I was living in Hong Kong, where it rains a lot, and I never had anything to put on my feet, and those puddles were deep," said Henriques, so she designed a pair of floral Wellies, and, well, they took off. Big time. So she moved on to stripes, dots, animals and argyle.
