The Ohio State-Indiana game in Bloomington on Saturday will be a special day for the Pagac family.
Ohio State senior linebacker Fred Pagac Jr. will be reunited with his father, a former Buckeyes player, assistant coach and defensive coordinator. Jettisoned in the John Cooper firing three years ago, the older Pagac is now an assistant coach with the NFL's Oakland Raiders. He has been invited to be the Buckeyes' honorary captain against the Hoosiers.
"It's going to be great. I've been looking forward to it for a while," said Pagac Jr. "He doesn't get to make it to too many games. When he's there, I always try to step up and play a little harder."
Dome-weather fans
A week after drawing 62,374 fans for their loss against Michigan, only 38,778 showed up to watch the Minnesota Gophers lose to Michigan State.
"It's a big difference," defensive tackle Darrell Reid said. "We get one loss and the crowd just leaves us."
