MEAT OR VEGGIES? Fifth-graders at Washington Elementary School in Niles had an opportunity to compare the skulls of carnivores and herbivores when the Ohio Division of Wildlife brought a traveling education trunk to the school earlier this month. Here, Carmella D'Urso, left, and Cara Cicero study one of the skulls. The youngsters also learned how to identify various animals based on the skulls, prints and other characteristics and examined furs and antlers. After the event, the fifth-graders prepared and presented lessons to second-graders.
