MCDONALD 4 face charges after girl is held against her will

McDONALD -- Four people are facing kidnapping and assault charges, accused of holding a 14-year-old girl against her will and binding her with plastic wrap.
Charles L. Frohman Jr., 19, John Sigley, 18, and Tiffany Wilson, 18, all of Parkview Avenue, and Douglas W. Rakich, 42, of South Lorain Avenue, Girard, were arraigned Tuesday in Niles Municipal Court on charges of kidnapping, felonious assault and child endangerment.
Police say the four were at a Parkview Avenue home Oct. 12, where the McDonald girl was visiting with acquaintances and an argument took place between her and another female.
Police reports said the other female, who was not charged, began to hit the girl, and the others covered her in plastic wrap and poured water and dish soap on her face. It was not immediately known why the other female was not charged.
The teen told police she chewed her way out of the wrap, but her attackers refused to let her leave until her mother came to pick her up.
The girl was treated at Forum Health Northside Medical Center in Youngstown for minor injuries.
Police reports show that while officers were investigating that case, Wilson called authorities to report that a group of men had later forced their way into the Parkview home with baseball bats, a gun and brass knuckles and attacked a man and a woman.
Investigators believe that attack was retaliation for the attack on the girl, and warrants were issued for two men, but no arrests have been made.
Rakich and Sigley are being held in the Trumbull County jail, while Frohman and Wilson are free on $20,000 bond.
Preliminary hearings for all four are set for 9 a.m. next Wednesday.
